Making for quite the spectacular scene, Hilary Duff tied the knot with Mike Comrie in Montecito, California on Saturday night (August 14).
The “Cheaper By the Dozen” actress wore a gorgeous Vera Wang gown as she said her “I Do’s” with her hockey star beau at a $29 million estate near San Ysidro Ranch.
As for the ceremony, Hilary and Mike welcomed nearly 100 guests while Hilary’s mother, Susan, walked her down the aisle.
With Hil’s sister Haylie serving as maid of honor, attendees were taken aback by the elegant affair, with a witness telling Us magazine, “It was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. Absolutely stunning. They thought of every last detail and it was an incredible sight.”
The nuptials took only 20-minutes while guests were treated to cocktails ahead of the ceremony, with another guest telling People, “Mike held his arm around Hilary for most of the romantic, candlelit ceremony, and they both looked extremely happy.”

Word has it, the “Beauty and the Briefcase” babe and her hockey player beau will tie the knot at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
According to a source, Duff and Comrie chose the ranch where the late President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline spent their honeymoon for “its sense of Old Hollywood glamour and romantic style.”
Furthermore, the couple has been taking dance lessons together and are said to be sparing no expense for their big day.

According to insiders close to the couple, the “Cheaper By the Dozen” cutie has reportedly expressed her desire to say her “I Do’s” before the date of October 7th.
The insider tells, “Hilary wants to keep the wedding small – but she’s having major trouble cutting down the guest list!”
As for the venue, the source reveals, “Hilary toured the San Ysidro Ranch and loved it. It’s an incredibly beautiful setting and has a lot of history.“
Nearly two years after filming was originally supposed to begin on a new “Bonnie and Clyde” movie starring Hilary Duff as Bonnie Parker, the project is still up in the air.
Production company president Tonya S. Holly - who is also writer and director of “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde” - told Alexandria city officials in a letter this past week that she hopes to begin filming this summer.
City Council President Roosevelt Johnson tells The Town Talk that he’s concerned that production hasn’t started. He said he’s also concerned that Holly hasn’t been opened a local office and studio for Cypress Moon Productions, which is based in Sheffield, Ala.
Plans to film in Alexandria were announced in February 2008. At the time, it was to begin filming that summer.

Confirming rumors that the actress, who recently appeared on Gossip Girl, would soon be hearing wedding bells, her rep says that the Edmonton Oilers player, 29, did indeed propose.
“Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were engaged this weekend while vacationing in Hawaii,” rep Nanci Ryder said Friday. “After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”
Early in their courtship, when he was with the New York Islanders, Comrie surprised Duff, 22, with a Mercedes for her birthday.

A reporter from E! news today gave us the deal with Hilary and all those marriage rumors. Hilary was ‘quoted’ saying ‘Its hard being the other one in the spotlight. When i go to his games everyone knows im sitting there, I dont wanna be the girlfriend who is screaming,’ It also reports that Hilary said that she still thinks she is ‘too young but will settle down someday‘. Hmm you never know with E! anyway do you?

But she wasn’t there to invest, rather the Disney darling was in the house to ring the opening bell along with the board of directors for the Blessings in a Backpack charity.
Stan Curtis, the organization’s founder, received a call from the New York Stock Exchange recently, asking him to bring a group to the Big Apple to do the opening honors.
Blessings in a Backpack has received increased media attention thanks to Duff’s involvement, and the fact that she, herself, sponsors a Los Angeles school.
